The Nelson

My friend and fellow painter Rachel Stuart Haas was in town for her opening at the Blue and we got to hang out briefly at the Nelson-Atkins. We were at the Art Institute together and were both in the Illustration department (which, sadly, is long gone). I completely and utterly dig her paintings and have the awesome good fortune to actually own one. You really should go check out her work.

Anyway, here's a pic of the E-girl at a Michael Cross installation in the Bloch building.

Halloween turned out pretty good, by the way. We got another pumpkin the day before and carved it. The weather was fabulous and Esther's costume was cute and she got a ton of candy. It was a fun night.

That's a great photo of E! We call Emma E-dog!
Rachel's work is really interesting and gorgeous. I especially loved the "Drowning My Sorrows" (big surprise!) and "Seance".... I'm glad you got to spend some time with her.
