Beads, Buttons, Baubles...

Here's the necklaces I've made recently with all the bits and pieces I've accumulated over the years--glass beads and findings from old broken necklaces, cool buttons, beads that I found in button lots, scraps of felt, buckles, etc, etc.
I made them for myself, mostly because I wanted new jewelry but don't have the money to spend on it! Also, I needed a brown necklace, and another green necklace, and amber is a good neutral color.
I love the pieces made with old Czech glass beads--those beads have such a wonderful quality. And at last a good way to use some of those buttons I've amassed!

These are great! Great way to reuse and recycle. I've got my box of misfit earrings and broken necklaces too. This looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks! It *is* a lot of fun, and my 4 year old daughter likes to make her own necklaces while I'm working on mine. And you should see HER creations--pretty crazy!

Very cool! I got a couple of gift certificates to a bead shop nearby to make some jewelry of my own. I'm playing around with the idea of opening an etsy shop... we'll see. : )
