But I'll just keep ambling along, posting new things when I remember!
I've been thinking about California again and started this landscape today. I'm about an hour into it and it's still really rough, but I like it so far. Sometimes it feels really good to stop working on the things you've been slogging away at and start something completely different and straightforward. Sorry about the super-shiny wet paint on the canvas--the texture's making the painting look all pixilated! This is oil on canvas, 11 x 14 inches.
Also, I've been offering custom eye portraits on Etsy and have already had a few commissions. These are all 2x2 inches, oil on illustration board.
And then this last piece is still in progress, but I've been having fun painting it and I wanted y'all to see it. This is oil on illustration board, 8x10 inches.
So those are a few things I've been working on. I haven't had a lot of time to paint over the last few months (I think that's my perennial excuse) and it's frustrating as can be. I sometimes wonder what sort of things I could accomplish if I had an entire day or a block of three or four uninterrupted hours to paint? At this point I doubt I'd even be able to sit still long enough:)
